‘An Impulse To Soar’ is the tagline for PRAKARSH XVI that is dated 12th of April’21, in an online mode. As said by Hellen Keller , “One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar” It means life isn’t something that happens to you, rather, it’s something that you make happen. When your sights are always set on achieving your absolute best and constantly growing and evolving as a person, it just becomes impossible to be content with being content. Prakarsh XVI is an example of this idea.
The widespread Covid has already dismantled the world, has affected the students in every way possible. Students have delayed graduation, have lost internship, or job offers, and the train of ‘learning’ has went off the rail with irregularities in academics. To soar inspite of this situation and to not restrain the growth, It was decided that Prakarsh XVI will happen, in an online mode nonetheless! Counsel lab has collaborated with Prakarsh for the same reason.
What is Prakarsh?
PRAKARSH – A National Level Symposium held every year at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology [Vasad] where every year over 4000 engineering students from all over Gujarat participate and it collabs with 60+ colleges for the promotion campaign.
Every year, it brings before us the best of innovative technical events, exciting non-technical events, variety of educational workshops , guest lectures with the newest perspectives and talk fests that features renowned personalities, dignitaries, veterans,etc. Prakarsh aims at providing the upcoming engineers with a platform to level up their technical abilities and to showcase their talent. The valuable learning experience that Prakarsh offers is noteworthy and widely appreciated.
To be honest, Prakarsh is a tradition. STATEMENT MADE! Tradition serves as a boulevard for creating lasting memories and offers an excellent context for meaningful pause and reflection. Prakarsh is the tradition that enables the future engineers to grow and help the other future engineers to grow. 2021, indeed, is the 16th year since Prakarsh first happened. A sweet sixteen birthday in pandemic does not mean it can’t be celebrated. That’s the thing about us humans, no matter the circumstances we find a reason to celebrate, isn’t it symbolic for not giving up.
‘Won’t give up the opportunity to build my profile, to make my network, to improve myself interpersonally, to hone my technical skills and much more’, said the youth.
Where does Counsel Lab and Prakarsh intersect?
Both emerged for the betterment of students and the purpose of advancement in the level of learning, skills and life. Cyber Intrusion is for the computer geeks, Dexter’s Lab is for the fanatics who love to experiment with electronics, Structonics is for the infrastructure shapers, Wheel & Wings is for the mechanical-aeronautical enthusiasts, Workshops are for anyone who wishes to gain topic specific knowledge, Funtastic is your friendly fun space and the Ancillary provides you a chance to interact with highly experienced individuals in the fields like cyber security and from organisations like ISRO.
This time, Cyber intrusion’s four events have fun stuff like logo designing, UI designing, stock market quiz, debate and ofcourse, coding. Dexter’s lab contains two events that are about quantum processing, myth debunking and beginner level IoT. Structonics has an event about sustainable development, smart city solutions and presentation skills. Wheel & Wings consists of four events about things like I.C engine, automobile, making self propelled rocket and case study researching.
Funtastic features four super fun events that revolve around childhood references, clue searching, memes, Netflix , games likes skribbl.io, among us, tic tac toe and much more.
There are ethical hacking, bug bounty hunting, CAD, Creo, Python, Machine learning, IoT, aircraft modelling, electrical safety, and MS Excel related Workshops.
